A point, a semicircle and a line
Author: Amal Farah Publisher: Shagara (2018) The letters of the Arabic alphabet are completely broken down and reconstituted thanks to just three geometric figures: the point, the semi-circle and the line. Each letter is the subject of a double-page. On the right page, the letter, drawn on lines, accompanied by a "zahra-t al-lugha" or the flower of the tongue: it is a stylized flower composed of elements like a line, a curve, etc., forming the letter in question. This game of decomposition / recomposition is also applied at the end of the book to Arabic numerals in their oriental script and to a few letters of the Latin alphabet.
